By The Who, in an attempt to drown the trauma out. In an effort to prove he is legally insane, Charlie's In-law's lawyer leaves a photo of said wife and kids in front of him, knowing he'd flip out in court. While any court drama would use that as 100% proof to lock him up, it instead causes the Judge to sympathize with Charlie and berate the lawyer for pulling that stunt.
