* ''[[Decades of Darkness]]'' has [[Shout-Out|shout outs]] to, among other things: a group of popular rock bands, ''[[Star Wars]]'', ''[[Call of Cthulhu (tabletop game)]]'', and so on and so on.

** By the same author, ''[[Forward]]'' has as many shout-outs, ranging from references to ''[[Mass Effect]]'', ''[[Portal (series)|Portal]]'', ''[[BioShock (series)]]'' and even ''[[Team Fortress 2]]''. There's also multiple [[Actor Allusion|ActorAllusions]] to [[Summer Glau]]'s roles in ''[[The Sarah Connor Chronicles]]'' and Nathan Fillion's role in ''[[Doctor Horribles Sing Along Blog]]''. Some of these are ''extremely'' subtle -- for example, the ''[[Portal (series)|Portal]]'' reference is almost impossible to spot unless you're looking for a [[Stealth Pun]].

* ''[[Maddison Atkins]]'' features an episode called "[[Law and Order|Law & Order]]: Maddison Atkins". Adam can be seen playing ''[[Mario Kart 64]]'' in one episode, and Maddison wears a Princess Peach shirt in another. With the [[Elvis Impersonator|possible]] exception of [[Series Mascot|HTMLvis]], all the pigeons' names (chosen by fans) appear to be shout outs: [[History of the USSR|Trotsky]], [[Sailor Moon|Mini Moon]] and Lady Gaga.

* In the [http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/keikaku Wiktionary entry] for ''keikaku'', the example sentence is… [[Death Note|well, guess]].

* ''[[Lost Boys of the Cascades]]'' has several shout outs, among them its title and the name of its main character being references to ''[[Peter Pan]]''

* In ''[http://husbandstheseries.com/video/ Husbands]'' the characters are talking about impulsive behaviour after Cheeks buys a dog on impulse.
