** [[Mad Scientist|Dr. M]] is one of these, too. It's hinted that he actually ratted out Sly's father to the Fiendish Five, making him partially responsible for his death. On the other hand, he does infer that the senior Cooper didn't treat his teammates as well as Sly did, but it's unclear how true this is.
*** From the same game, General Tsao and Captain LeFwee straddle the line between this trope and [[Smug Snake]]. Tsao combines this with being a [[Politically-Incorrect Villain]] as well, as demonstrated with this quote.
