The series stars [[Sonic the Hedgehog]] as washed up and in need to find various jobs to pay debts such as his rent. Almost all of the jobs he is involved in end in failure and has ended in a few cliffhangers. Some of recurring characters he encounters include Dr. Robotnik, [[Earthworm Jim (Videovideo Gamegame)|Earthworm Jim]], [[Kirby]], [[Golden Axe|Gilius Thunderhead]], [[Metroid|Mother Brain]], [[Super Mario Brothers|Mario]], {{spoiler|Darth Vader, The Shredder, and even [[Mega Man (Videovideo Gamegame)|Mega Man]] from [[Mega Man Dies Atat the End]]}}.
