Star Trek V: The Final Frontier/Awesome: Difference between revisions

* Scotty is all kinds of awesome in this movie, first he avoids Sybok's [[Mind Control]], then he breaks Kirk and the gang out of "jail", and ''then'' he manages to (partially) fix the transporter! To quote Kirk, "Mr. Scott, your amazing!"

* When McCoy sees "God" zap Kirk and Spock:

** This also deserves [[It Makes Sense in Context|a bit of an explanation]]: For most of the film Sybok, who is Spock's [[Long-Lost Relative]] [[The Messiah|plays a bad ripoff of Jesus]] while searching for God [[In Space]] and treating the entire crew to [[Epiphany Therapy]] that makes him his loyal mooks. This makes this one bit deeply rewarding, since it turns Sybok's annoying [[Catch Phrase]] on its head when he discovers that {{spoiler|"God" is simply a [[Sufficiently Advanced Alien]]}}.
