[[All That|Nick Cannon]] is the honorary chairman of the TeenNick channel and apparently has some authority over programming, as he conceived and hosted the first annual TeenNick HALO Awards, an awards show awarding teens making a difference. Cannon was ''also'' the first host of the original TEENick block way back when it first aired in 2001.

It later became the [[Spiritual Successor]] of the [[Snick]] block when [[Tee Nick]]TEENick Saturday Night took over SNICK's timeslot in 2004. When it launched as a channel in 2009, TeenNick took over the channel space held by The N ([[Noggin]]'s teen brand, standing for '''N'''oggin), which had recently moved from Noggin to its own channel on December 31, 2007. The N's original shows were phased out of the TeenNick channel's lineup fairly quickly, leaving only Nickelodeon reruns.
