His most famous creation, though, was the Daleks. Contributing in a huge way to the show's longevity, Nation was asked to write several other stories over the years. The Nation Estate owns the copyright to the Daleks jointly with [[The BBC]], the latter wholly owning the copyright for all the other monsters bar the Cybermen.
