Line 1: {{work}} * [[~~Big~~Non ~~Lipped~~Sequitur ~~Alligator Moment~~Scene]]: Waking up one morning at a Holiday Inn in Pennsylvania, Fox finds a different person at the check-out desk than the previous night. Instead of Brad, it's Tiffany. Seeing Fox, she asks if she's on [[Candid Camera Prank\|Candid Camera]]. Fox plays along and says "[they're] filming a movie." The next few minutes play out as Fox pays for his night while overacting as Tiffany thinks she's being filmed by a hidden camera in a plant. The plot of leaving the hotel is accomplished, but the whole ruse is completely forgotten and never mentioned again by Fox in narration. * [[Crowning Moment of Heartwarming]] - When Fox hugs {{spoiler\|Diana Foxworthy after she saves him from being killed by an [[Ax Crazy]] FBI agent.}} Also, when he {{spoiler\|hugs Charlotte Beauregarde and counsels her about her husband's death}} * [[Growing the Beard]], over time. (There isn't one specific plot point where it starts getting better, and the first few chapters aren't bad.)
