** One discovered from version 2.5.1's update news (which resolves it): Players somehow ended up unable to log in to their Nintendo Account from the Settings. Keep in mind that linking accounts are required to keep a backup cloud save.
** Players have reported no longer being able to use the Spring Garden terrain options on their campsite, including the free "middle" part given away during Leif's garden event. Resolved in November 15, 2019.

However, there is more to that if the player wants to get non-generic snacks, higher quality snacks, or even exclusive animals/maps. Direction influences the snack theme, each item has a hidden value that can influence the rewards system including a higher chance of getting a bonus reward, and said chance can also be boosted with another method by dumping all duplicates (no "solos") if the former method is not possible, but the game does not tell the player this.
** A minor one, but requests involving clothing/furniture suggestion requires knowing the nature of the animal that will receive this as well as the item's theme category. Some can make it easy for the player by providing options with at least one item that fit the animal's theme (that Cute-type Apple would definitely love a Cute-type lovely bed...), some can be implied from even other hints such as their default clothing or preferred furniture seen in their character info (that Cool-type Agnes has some Cute stuff mixed in as seen from her dazed tee and preference towards three of the Lovely series items as wanted furniture, so a Cute-type fluffy dress would be a fine clothing suggestion...), and some can be correlated (Cute-type animals tend to also have preference for the also cutesy Hip-type items), but even with this basic knowledge (though the player can be forgiven for not knowing ALL items' themes; ''hundreds'' of items), the game can still throw the players off in some way (I didn't know that Harmonious-type Margie also loves Cute clothing!). Fortunately, this is only for [[Video Game Caring Potential]].
* [[Halloween Episode]]: October has Jack visiting, obviously. Events include Jack's Halloween-themed garden event, his special furniture, and Muffy's Creepy Cookie to complete the theme. The Spooky terrain set makes its debut in October 2018. That month's fishing event even follows suit, down to having Jack as the host instead of Chip. On the day of Halloween itself, players are gifted with the pumpkin head headwear.
** 2019 decided to spice up things even more by changing the designs of the app icon, start-up screen, and Friend List into a Halloween-themed one. Its seasonal event is called [[Alliteration|Happy Hauntings Holiday]] whose collectible is, of course, the trick-or-treat sweets. Jack's garden event takes on a different theme compared to 2018, being based on a gala this time. The Eerieville terrain set makes its debut. Let's just say that Blathers's Treasure Trek is guilty of this in general, as even the common crafting material maps also share this nature (1,000 Bells per roll just to reach the goal of 20, when the player usually sells 100 of these materials just to get those 1,000 Bells). Insta-clearing using Leaf Tickets only worsens the letdown.
** Gulliver's Ship in general. Pre-2.6.0, a player will have to lose 10 furniture and/or clothing items just for an attempt to get a new animal friend. But even then, despite using the best items, all the player gets is usually snacks due to RNG. Also, animals that are not O'Hare, Rowan, and Plucky are locked behind maps, necessitating essence drain (or Leaf Tickets for your [[Bribing Your Way to Victory]] goodness). While this should sound fine as a prize, animal friends have been free since the game's very beginning. Meanwhile, post-2.6.0, instead of furniture/clothing, a player has to lose far more Bells in addition to sparkle stones (only applicable to golden packages starting from November 21, 2019, which fixed various issues), essences, and [[Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking|wood]] (and possibly HH materials if they dare to use golden packages) because the islands containing animal maps only accept cargo (export-only items that can only be obtained by crafting). Even then, similar to the ship's first iteration, all that effort ends up wasted on treats and Bells. It is even worse since the "X and Pals" islands have a much larger prize pool, so the likeliness of a player running out of resources is much higher (unless the player uses Leaf Tickets to claim multiple rewards per trip, but even then the wanted map may not be included because of this fact).
