• Fanfic Fuel:
    • The alternate timelines, specially the one where Thanos just vanished and never came back since Tony killed him and his army, but Gamora survived since she left him. Without him, what would be the effects of Civil War? And what about Ronan?.
    • During the five-year Time Skip, it's highly possible that M'Baku became the King of Wakanda by default, owing to the fact that Shuri and T'Challa got snapped and M'Baku is the strongest of the surviving tribe leaders. He's also an Avenger by the end of the movie, and becomes one of the Badass Normal. Knowing M'Baku, however, this title would have no glory or joy in it, considering T'Challa died right when the two men became honorary brothers and M'Baku said he would always defend his King. He probably balanced Avenger duties with ruling the decimated country, and happily ceded the throne when seeing that the Avengers undid the Snap.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: This movie makes Spider-Man a bonafide Avenger given he does way more than pull his own weight in the final battle, and even then he fails to save everyone considering his reaction when Tony pulls his Heroic Sacrifice. While both a disguised Talos and Happy Hogan tell Peter in Spiderman: Far From Home that he has done Tony proud and earned his laurels, everyone conveniently forgets that Peter risked his life to save the universe after Mysterio posthumously frames him for murder in Spiderman: No Way Home and Jameson becomes determined to stalk and cyberbully the kid for the crime of being a superhero.
  • Signature Line: "And I am Iron Man."
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Hawkeye as Ronin is seen killing Yakuza members that we know nothing about, and his motivation coming as typical Misplaced Retribution makes him look way more villainous than intended. Even if we did know their crimes, this kind of vigilante killing is exactly why The Avengers refuse to interact or antagonize with the The Punisher in several Marvel continuities.
