The ''Aveyond'' series are downloadable PC RPG games created by [http://www.amaranthia.com/ Amaranth Games]. The game engine used for the games are [[Game Maker|RPG Maker XP with the exception of Ahriman's Prophecy which was created with RM2k3]].
 
The whole series takes place in a world called Aia. The games normally start out with [[Kid Hero|a teen around 13-17 years old]], who is the main character living their lives until the [[Big Bad]] does something that thrusts them out of their peaceful lives and the next thing they know, an old lady {{spoiler|who is the goddess that created the world}} tells them that they [[The Chosen One|are part of some prophecy]] to prevent [[The End of the World Asas We Know It]].
 
''Ahriman's Prophecy'' starts out with Talia Maurva, who wants to be "named", or given a life job, but ends up being ordered to go to Thais along with Devin Perry to learn magic so she can save the world.
