Thomas the Rhymer is really Tom Lehrer. They're both songwriters named Tom, and Thomas the Rhymer's song "The King beneath the Hill" fits the rhyme and rhythm and general style of Tom Lehrer's "Irish Ballad" (aka "Rickety Tickety Tin") perfectly.
