Twice have film versions been made of [[Roald Dahl]]'s [[Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (Literature)|most popular book]]. The first, released in 1971, features [[Gene Wilder]] as Willy Wonka (whom the title was changed to accomodate because of concerns over racial slang) and [[The Poseidon Adventure|Jack Albertson]] as Grandpa Joe and is something of a [[Cult Classic|cult film]]. The second version, directed by [[Tim Burton]] and released in 2005, features [[Johnny Depp]] as Wonka, and a supporting cast that includes [[Sherlock Holmes (Film)|James Fox]], [[Galaxy Quest (Film)|Missi]] [[Dodgeball|Pyle]], [[Helena Bonham Carter]], [[Christopher Lee]], and [[Deep Roy]] (many many times) and is intended to be slightly closer to the book.
