This machine is also notable for popularizing the PDP-11 platform as a whole in the Soviet Union. While it was one of the first PDP-11 compatible rigs in the country, it was enormously popular and spawned dozens of different machines of all sizes and performances, from large industrial installation to tiny home computer-sized videogame platforms, but all generally DEC-compatible. In short, the influence of this computer and its proponents in Ministry of Electronics industry basically led to Soviet computer industry standardizing around DEC products -- first PDP-11 and later VAX, their influence still felt long after PC won over.
* CPU: Several different CPUs were used during the system's long production run, all binary compatible with Digital's LSI-11 line, with most being the reverse engineered clones of original ones.
* RAM: 8K of core at release, expandable to 64K (w/o MMU) or to 4M max. Most later machines had standard DRAM instead of core.

* Storage: 2 x 8" floppy disk, though it might take any PDP-11 compatible peripherals, which were, in fact, produced in the Soviet Union as well.
