Perhaps her most famous role is of the [[Tsundere]] and [[Straight Man\|straight girl]] Kagami Hiiragi of ''[[~~Lucky Star (Anime)\|~~Lucky Star]]'', for which she won the Best New Seiyuu award at the second annual Seiyuu Awards. (Fittingly, her co-[[Stealth Pun\|star]] [[Aya Hirano]] had won the previous year.) Garnered a little bit of controversy on the Internets in 2008 [http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2008/07/16/lucky-star-seiyuu-flies-red-banner for giving an interview to a Communist-affiliated magazine]. She hasn't done much work with her "sister" [[Kaori Fukuhara]] (''Lucky Star'''s Tsukasa), but the two are fittingly good friends, and in 2010 did some musical jam sessions together with Emiri on drums and Kaori on bass. (Apparently both used to play those respective instruments in high school.)
