In 1975, a [[Raymond Chandler]]'s 1940 book ''Farewell, My Lovely'' was [[Film of the Book|adapted into a movie]]. Everyone's favorite [[Private Detective]] Philip Marlowe is hired by an ex-con named Moose Malloy to find his missing girlfriend, Velma, while simultaneously investigating a murder connected with a missing jade necklace. Of course, both cases turn out to be connected, and Marlowe gets caught up in something far bigger than he imagined.
