A particular example is the racist hate crime of "[[wikipedia:Indian rolling|Indian rolling]]" where homeless Navajo and Apache men are assaulted or even murdered by non-Indigenous people as a senseless "pastime" purely out of schadenfreude at the expense of Native Americans.
