The series chronicleschronicled the life of the author through his day-to-day existence as a college student in Burlington, VT. Earlier strips focusfocused on everyday dorm life but haveit eventually shifted into focusing on apartment living and working retail. The comic iswas mostly self-reflective and often centerscentered on the author’s life experiences and observations on life with frequent appearances by friends and roommates.
 
Occasionally the strips taketook a more surreal turn in chronicling the struggles of Squid Fairy, a winged squid that grants wishes…pertaining to squids, as well as a short story about a snail’s dreams of flight.
 
The comic used to update on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It has been "on hiatus" since September 2013 and the website is no longer on the live web. You can read a copy at the [[Wayback Machine]] [https://web.archive.org/web/20131112030944/http://www.imminentmoose.com/ here].
