== Dream Land is Pop Star's equivalent of a war-torn third-world country ==

You've got an illegitimate monarchy ruled by King Dedede. Kirby is a biological weapon running rampant, killing people for their food or ''eating them whole''. Meta-Knight's formed his own cadre of questionably-noble military separatists and has a flying warship capable of subjugating entire provinces by itself. The very trees and animals are sapient and hostile to all other forms of life. There's at least a half-dozen instances where nightmarish monsters and space aliens have invaded. Civilians are forced to defend their homes with whatever they have available: swords, mallets, magic wands, improvised explosives, yo-yos, umbrellas... It's a sugar-frosted ''warzone''. The rest of the planet must think Dream Land is like Mordor.
