Cynical lesbian feminist Ania Dabrowski lives in San Francisco with her girlfriend Vittie Belasco, and their two friends, the laid-back photographer Cass O'Malley, and the slightly-neurotic design student Vivi Meyer. The comic is mostly a series of sketchy one-shots following the four girls (and their Siamese cat Chairman Meow) throughout the city of [[San Francisco]]

** Also, before settling on Chairman Meow, Ania wanted to name the cat Kitler.

* [[Fan Service]]: Subverted - while the author has no qualms showing nudity, none of the girls have perfect bodies

* [[Feminine Women Can Cook]]: Subverted. While Vittie is going to culinary school, she's the butchest of the quartet.

* [[Flanderization]]: The characters are all Flanderized versions of the author and her friends/girlfriend - with mostly negative traits emphasised.

* [[Gratuitous Foreign Language]]: Gratuitous Polish.

* [[Hollywood Dateless]]: Vivi has trouble keeping a boyfriend. Cass doesn't even seem to want one.

* [[Les Yay]]: Not only between the two lesbians, but between Ania and Cass, Vittie and Vivi, and even Cass and Vivi.

* [[Painting the Fourth Wall]]: Lenka speaks in cursive, which is supposed to represent her flowery tone of voice.
