* Schlock Mercenary has some moments.
** Nanoprobes. Dr. Bunnigus checks how rebuilding of Ebbirnoth is going. Of course, compared to the pre-existing massive damage, a little knife doesn't really change anything.
** Neeka, an Esspererin (which may have something to do with her… unusual approach) medic hired by Toughs. She is evidently good at this and considered "efficient" by a medical AI. Also, very fast. The only problem with her style is that it's quite unceremonious and doesn't minimize cuts at all. Naturally, this tend to freak out patients who happened to be conscious at the start and didn't think to close their eyes. Especially in cases when it's more convenient to just cut off an appendage, fix it, and then attach back (things like scars and suturing are not a problem, because nanobots will rebuild the affected tissues from cell level up either way, it's just that the faster foreign objects are removed and the less needs rebuilding, the sooner it ends). Sometimes it's comedy gold, in part thanks to her cheesy grin. And sometimes we get only a Reaction Shot of people watching a screen with lots of red.

Michelle Diego-Garcia: Watch! She's going to reassemble all three of those guys, minus the fifty-seven bullets they had in them.}}
