Guns of the Patriots is one giant Continuity Nod and has appearences by almost every major character in the series, some of which have radically changed in appearence and personality. Regardless, tropes for those characters should go in the character pages for the games they debuted in, not here. This is for characters that first appeared in Guns of the Patriots only. That includes Raiden, Revolver Ocelot, and the Patriots. For pages they all appear on, see:

=== Characters that debuted in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots: ===include:

Sunny Gurlukovich
Line 27 ⟶ 23:
* Has Two Daddies: With Snake and "Uncle Hal".
* Lethal Chef: Sunny keeps cooking eggs for Otacon and Snake, but they're usually either over or undercooked, and both of them are constantly coming up with excuses to not eat them. This is somewhat out-of-character for the former Green Beret Solid Snake, given what you're expected to eat during SERE. He must be getting picky in his old age.
* Missing Mom
* Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: She completed FOXALIVE with the purpose of destroying the AI network of the Patriots while at the same time keeping key societal factors intact. Going by what is being shown in Rising, she really should have just destroyed the Patriots outright, as the FOXALIVE option she chose actually made things even worse than before.
* Speech Impediment: Sunny has a slight stutter.
Line 43 ⟶ 39:
* Cool Shades
* Dark-Skinned Blond
* Everything's Better with Monkeys: He has a pet monkey.
* Finger-Snap Lighter: One of his many parlor tricks.
* Honest John's Dealership: Deconstruction: He has done questionable practices, such as injecting potential customers with "transmitters" to essentially spy on them, but his sales, illegal as they may be, actually are genuine and not ripoffs of weapons, and he also makes it fairly clear that he would never betray his customers.
Line 54 ⟶ 50:
The Beauty and the Beast Unit
A unit composed of four insane, power-armored young women codenamed: Laughing Octopus, Crying Wolf, Raging Raven and Screaming Mantis. Ocelot's elite forces in Metal Gear Solid 4.
-----
* Amazon Brigade
* Animal Motifs
Line 62 ⟶ 58:
* Brainwashed and Crazy: Implied by Big Boss noting that the technology used to seal away his will in addition to his body was similar to the type used to pacify the B&B Corps.
* Break the Cutie: Each and every single one of the B&B girls suffered this before becoming one.
* Dark Action Girlss
* Fan Nickname: In-Universe, they are referred to as SNAKEHOUND due to their fascination in wanting to kill Snake.
* Flunky Boss: Raging Raven and Cryin Wolf both have soldiers help them, while Screaming Mantis forces people to help her.
Line 95 ⟶ 91:

Laughing Octopus
Voiced By: Haruna Aimoto (JP), Paula Tiso (EN)

Line 101 ⟶ 97:
----
* Combat Tentacles
* Laugh with Me: This is Laughing Octopus' Catch Phrase.
* Precision F-Strike: Laughing Octopus drops the F-bomb shortly before fighting Snake, and is notably the only character in the English version of the series (and the second in the series overall, see EVA) to do so.
* Shapeshifter Guilt Trip: Laughing Octopus pulls one during her boss fight after you damage her enough. Actually, a bunch of the forms she takes mock you in one way or another; she even rips off Snake's own signature move by hiding within a cardboard box at one point.

Raging Raven
Line 116 ⟶ 112:

Voiced By: Eriko Hirata (JP), Debra Wilson Skelton (EN)

Line 126 ⟶ 122:
