Yes, Apple Bloom is fine both times, and Zecora was not dangerous, but Applejack (and all the other parents and guardians) had good reason to be concerned.
* Also, Zecora wasn't exactly doing herself any favors. She stomps on the ground and eerily observes the main group as she does so. This does not excuse ALL of the town's racism, but it does make it easier to comprehend.
