Knives don't fare so well against a gatling gun and neither does a whip against explosives. In the same work Sebastian can bring dinner knives to a gun fight though and win effortlessly, but then, Sebastian is a [[Nigh Invulnerable]] demon. Using mundane firearms against him is equivalent to this trope.
