Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock (aka [[Psylocke]]) was created by Chris Claremont and Herb Trimpe in the late 1980s. She is one of the [[X-Men (Comic Book)]], twin sister of [[Captain Britain]], and is one of the most famous British [[superhero]] in [[Marvel Comics]].
Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock was the daughter of James Braddock Sr. and Lady Elizabeth Braddock, until her parents died in a lab "accident" from the super intelligent AI computer, Mastermind.

Eventually, she was recruited to S.T.R.I.K.E. were the young Braddock meets Tom Lennox, her boyfriend, since they were both part of the Psi Division. Elizabeth, Tom, and a few other members of the PD survived an assassination attempt from Slaymaster, who was sent by the crimelord Vixen; being saved by her twin brother. Unfortunately, Tom died while trying to buy his friends and Psylocke more time to escape. While being nursed back to health, by Victoria Bentley, the latter taught her how to strengthen her psychic powers.
When Brian's twin was kidnapped from the Alps, she was brainwashed, given cybernetic eyes, and a new alter-ego name of "Psylocke." Somehow after that she came to an island off of China, despite being amnesiac, where the Hand found her. There a desperate Matsu'o Tsurayaba sees this as a chance to rescue his lover, Kwannon.
