* The original ''[[Battlestar Galactica Classic]]'' had a robotic daggit, which was mostly a [[Replacement Goldfish]] but occasionally proved useful for crawling through ductwork or whatever. It had ''artificial fur'' and the most obnoxious synthetic bark imaginable.

''[[Mighty Morphin Power Rangers]]'' had Zordon's robot buddy Alpha 5 (which is [[Suspiciously Similar Substitute|replaced]] by Alpha 6 as of ''Turbo''), ''[[Power Rangers Time Force]]'' had the robotic owl Circuit (known as TAC in its source show, ''[[Mirai Sentai Timeranger]]''), and ''[[Power Rangers SPD]]'' had robot dog RIC (which was known as Murphy in ''[[Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger]]'').

* One episode of ''[[Johnny Bravo]]'' [[No Fourth Wall|broke the]] [[Fourth Wall]] by having [[Executive Meddling]] occur within the show, one instance being the addition of a Robot Buddy for Johnny. [[Status Quo Is God|It didn't last, though.]]

* Larry 3000 from ''[[Time Squad]]'' is a slightly antagonistic (and very [[Ambiguously Gay]]) Robot Buddy, intended as a parody of the [[Star Wars|C-3PO]].

* 4-DAC in ''[[Jonny Quest Versus the Cyber Insects]]'' and to a lesser extent 3-DAC in ''[[Jonny's Golden Quest]]''.
