* Development Hell: The series was intended to end with a movie, but only in the late 2000s/early 2010s does it seem to be getting anywhere.
* Hey, It's That Voice! - Phil La MarrLaMarr (from Mad TV, Pulp Fiction, Static Shock, and Futurama) as Jack, and the now-late Mako, best known before he died as Iroh, as Aku.
** The Scotsman is John Dimaggio (Bender and Jake), and Tom Kenny (Heffer on "Rocko's Modern Life" and SpongeBob) was a series regular.
** Some of the early promos had narration from the voice of Frylock
** For the Venezuelan dub, the same team that dubbed Medabots dubbed this. Particularly notorious in the episode Jack's Sandals, what with the shoe salesman being a referee, and the kids having the voice of the kids of the cast. Jack's voice actor (Juan Guzman) is Hampton the pig, Captain K'nuckles and Geoff.
* Shout-Out - various...but one notable one: in the Compilation Movie, the sirens were Destiny's Child.
Line 9:
** A lot of Asian cinema, including the classic Lone Wolf and Cub and the visuals of Studio Ghibli.
** A lot of Star Wars shout outs, especially in Jack and the Flying Prince and Princess and The Scotsman Saves Jack.
** In one episode, Jack is instructed to follow a certain path at a fork in the road to get to a dragonDragon's lairLair.

** Is this troper the only one to see Jabu-Jabu references in that episode?
** Surprisingly, Sonic the Hedgehog in the episode Jack's Sandals. When he's running with a pair of blue sneakers, he leans forward, puts his arms behind his body and his running motion forms an 8. And he's as fast as a car.
*** Another brief one occurs at the beginning of Episode L, with one of the scientists resembling Dr. Eggman. His coworkers resemble Dr. Wily and... Dr. Clayton Forrester.
** And plenty of references to Tartakovsky's DextersDexter's Laboratory, including bringing back Huntor and having Jack shout "Who else wants some?!" from the early dodgeball episode.
** In the cowboy episode on the train, there's a scene between Quick Straw and Bubba Louis.
** The third episode, two of the dogs resembles Big Dog & Little Dog from Two Stupid Dogs and the city they rediscovered? It's apparently Townsville.
** The creator of the Ultrabots is basically Professor Frink.
*** Seemed more like a future incarnation of Dexter, what with the giant glasses, body-concealing labcoat, and purple gloves up to his elbows. Heck, his name is Ex-tor!
*** The Ultrabots are plated with Adamantium.
** "Where are we going?" "The Highlands. Where else?"
*** Followed later in the same episode with describing haggis as "Sheep's stomach stuffed with meat and barely."
** Maybe this is just me, but one of the gangsters in the aptly named "Jack and the Gangsters" looks a lot like Mr. Brown
Line 31:
** At one point, Jack follows a white rabbit down a hole which leads to a fantastical, whimsical world. Does this even need a Pothole?
** "Jack and the Creature" is a shout out to My Neighbor Totoro.
** "Jack and the Labyrinth" introduces a character who resembles Daisuke Jigen from Lupin III -- but—but with Lupin's personality.
** Mondo Bot seems to resemble Samus' Power Suit.
*** How about the Princess from the Princess and the bounty Hunters? None of the other realize she's a woman until she takes off her helmet. Not to mention she's a brunette, much like Samus was in the early years of Metroid.
** The plot of "Jack and the Flying Prince and Princess" is a reference to that of Star Wars.
** Wanna hear a story about a nameless, mostly silent samurai armed with a mystic sword that can destroy an evil, shape-shifting demon, only to be cast into the far distant future? Okay, here ya go.
** A reference to the animated Aladdin movie occurs when Jack and The Scotsman are attacked by Aku's minions, and both simultaneously say to each other.
"They're after me! They're after you? they're after me!"
** "Da Samurai" is Sho'Nuff from The Last Dragon with a name change. He even says the word.
