Sure, that part sucks, and obviously requires her to become a fugitive and find someplace to hide for the rest of her life, but its no reason to actually ''rebel''. But that the operatives would also have killed her ''husband'', simply because he was there at the time and it was a no-witnesses type of deal? Her husband who is entirely innocent of anything, even by association? ''That'' has her determined to burn down the Empire.
* [[Properly Paranoid]]: As per Crazy Prepared above, after making allowances for available budget, her personal security measures are actually a larger investment of her time, effort, and resources than ''Sten's'' are -- and remember that we're talking about the Eternal Emperor's personal assassin who potentially has half the known galaxy wanting to kill him at any one time. Haines considers it perfectly normal to spend your entire life living as if any random perp you busted 40 years ago is potentially going to come back and try and stab you to death in the shower.
