Line 145:
* Hilariously subverted in The Seven Year Itch where a man asks a woman who looks homely with glasses and her hair in a bun to take the glasses off and let down her hair. Guess what? Still homely.
* In Waiting for Guffman, Corky has Eugene Levy's character take his glasses off to make him more presentable as a performer. It just makes his eyes cross comically.
* In The Rocky Horror Picture Show Brad whips off his glasses when he starts getting angry at Frank-N-Furter (to which the audience will usually yell "Superman!"), but it's an aversion because Brad is essentially powerless and Frank knows it. He's eventually forced to put them back on, both because he needs them to see and because the servants have by this time stripped him to his underwear and he has nowhere to put them.
