* [[Memory Gambit]]: Her signature ability. It's not known whether it actually erases her memories or if it just suppresses them so even a mind-reader like Inoichi can't detect anything.

* [[Rogue Agent]]: From Joumae, rather than Konoha.

* [[Torture Always Works]]: Completely subverted, since Hanare's special abilities allow her to completely erase suspicious information from her mind, and because she's been more rigorously trained in counter-interrogation techniques than any of the named characters.

* [[Tyke Bomb]]: She was raised by the head of Joumae to be an infiltration expert and never realy questioned orders, even as an adult. At least, up until she meets Kakashi again. There was a certain element of social deprivation involved--Konoha is much more open than she's used to.

* [[Berserk Button]]: He hasn't changed much, despite currently being second in power among all of the youkai left on the planet. Don't mess with people he cares about and maybe you'll live.

* [[Elemental Powers]]: She has two implanted hearts, much like Kakuzu, which allow her to use Water and Earth Release techniques despite not being able to form hand seals.

* [[Meaningful Name]]: It's a bit of a multilingual pun, but while Ai is driven by her love for her younger sister, she also has about as much in the way of emotions as HAL, an AI.

==== Keisuke "Kei" Yamaguchi ====

Kei is the voice of reason, the disciplinarian, the medic, and the squad leader under most circumstances. She has a stern personality and has been known to keep teammates in line through the power of her [[Death Glare]] alone.

* [[Combat Pragmatist]]: One of the things Kei's father taught her is that ''every'' fight is a serious one and to treat them all the same way. So, she tends not to pay attention to little things like "honor" and "common decency" when she actually has to fight.

* [[Gender Blender Name]]: Her parents wanted a boy first.

* [[Rant-Inducing Slight]]: Being told that she's heavy for a kunoichi, then later finding out that she weighs more than Itachi does. It's sort of like her [[Berserk Button]].

==== Ayumi Asahina ====

Team demolition expert under Kei's command, Asahina is, if anything, the most dangerous when fighting a large group of enemies.

* [[Let's Get Dangerous]]: Do not screw with the woman who has access to bombs that can disintegrate solid rock. She gets more serious as the situation gets worse.

* [[Razor Wind]]: She can actually counter other wind techniques using her own wind blades.

* [[The Strategist]]: Who, worryingly enough, relies on her ability to improvise.

 

==== Noriko "Nori" Emirigami ====

The third member of the team, Nori is the stealth, infiltration, and defensive expert of the team. She doesn't like being stuck on the ground.

* [[Birds of a Feather]]: She and Asahina are very much alike.

* [[Making a Splash]]: Her affinity, which allows her to move across large bodies of water with minimal chakra usage and a very low chance of detection.

* [[Older Than They Look]]: She's less than a year younger than the others, but she looks like she's six years younger than Kei.

* [[Picky Eater]]: She's a vegetarian. In the ninja world, that's ''really'' picky.
