The show still sees reruns up to this day in multiple dialects. Everything with the name "Ultraelectromagnetic" (Choudenji) means ''awesome technology'' in the Philippines, and this show was so ''insanely'' popular in the Philippines that the Filipinos consider ''Combattler V'' as Voltes V's spinoff (or parody). Which is understandable, if not justified, since Combattler aired in the Phillipines ''twenty years'' after Voltes, when the latter had already entrenched itself deeply into Filipino pop culture.
