* [[Dragon Ascendant]]: Deimos & Phobos would attempt to press-gang Cale into finding Diana's home for them by [[I Have Your Daughter|stealing Isadore's Soul]], but shirking the deal they had made with one of [[Underestimating Badassery|the smartest and wealthiest business owners]] of her time proved to be [[What an Idiot|a calamitous mistake]]. As they never believed she would rent out magic of her own to [[The Dog Bites Back|trap them into more servile forms]] until they released the child back onto her mother. Effectively taking full command of the Godwatch initiative she'd created to track Diana and discover the whereabouts of Themyscira for them.

Whom had her soul stolen by the bastard sons of Ares [[Bastard Bastard|Deimos & Phobos]] to use as a bargaining chip to coerce her into helping them find Paradise Island. She also deeply loved her business partner and best bud, Adrianna Anderson; who killed herself using faulty cybernetic interfacing tech to siphon information from Wonder Woman's mind. Veronica [[Brain Uploading|patterned an A.I.]] after the mental engrams of her deceased friend whom would later come to call herself Doctor Cyber.

* [[Start of Darkness]]: During the New 52/Rebirth publishing, Veronica Cale was simply a stern and taciturn corporate head whom only [[Forced Into Evil|committed atrocities]] as a labor of love. Her only daughter Isadore's soul had been stolen by the evil Deimos & Phobos who forced her to help them find Themyscira and she was left without options and her best friend after she put herself in a dangerously unstable robotics hub that fried her body & mind. Things didn't get much better for the jaundiced billionaire was finally reunited with her daughter only to be told that [[From Bad to Worse|Izzy could never leave the place Veronica hopelessly spent decades trying to find]].

* [[Took A Level In Badass]]: Took several levels in badass as of recent productions. Prior works depicted Cale as an adept yet incompetent foil to her [[Unknown Rival|Arch-nemesis Wonder Woman]] whose malignant plans were often [[Hijacked by Ganon|swiped from under her]] by a [[Always Someone Better|bigger bad]] later in the story. As of Rebirth she went from a bemoaned slave to the master of a pair of bratty lesser divinity by [[Sealed Evil in A Can|trapping them in a couple of guard dogs]] and making them her bitches instead [[Mama Bear|for what they did to Esadore Cale]]. In Wonder Woman: Bloodlines; Veronica had successfully [[The Chessmaster|played everything and everyone to the letter]] and [[The Bad Guy Wins|achieved her ultimate goal]]; revealing the location of Paradise Island so she can plunder it's resources for profit at a later date.
