The precise divide is debated (common ones are the Watford Gap Service Station, the most northerly point where one can buy the Evening Standard,<ref>Oxford</ref> and ''anywhere outside the M25''), but the 1983 General Election, where Labour won no seats south of Birmingham outside of Greater London gives you a good hint.
