* An original webseries called, [[The Noob]], had a character, who iswas [[Evil All Along]], was introduced with the context's equivalent of a fake identity which lasted in just a few episodes. But the novel and comic shows the character under her true identity. While the fake one was mention in the novel, but seemingly disappear in the comics, [[Subverted Trope|then briefly showing up in a subplot]].
