In an [[Alternate Timeline]], Light doesn't pick up the [[Death Note]] and it falls into the hands of someone else who disposes of it soon after. Light is soon recruited by L to investigate a case involving disappearing girls. As part of the investigation, they spy on one Tomoe Mami, disguised as teachers.
