YMMV tropes relating to the film
- Complete Monster - The entire staff of Mercy hospital fit this trope.
- Crowning Moment of Funny - Scott's appearance with the stretch loaded with body parts just as the police officer is about to leave quietly. His appearance is followed by about ten seconds of Travis, Emily, the officer and Scott himself all looking back and forth, ending with Scott smiling, the cop going for his gun, and being suddenly stabbed by Benway.
- "Relax, it's not like it's brain surgery"
- Rooting for The Empire - The only characters who actually have any character are the two orderlies, and Dr Benway, The protagonists of the movie spend most of their time either wandering around, or being captured, or dead.
- Squick - When Clare gets attacked by the patient, whose entire digestive tract then proceeds to fall out of him onto her. Also when Dr. Benway drinks Emily's spinal fluid.

- And the Fandom Rejoiced - Autopsy playing shows again for the first time in 14 years? Awesome. Releasing a new album in 2011? Oh HELL yes!
- Vindicated By History - With many successful bands labeling them as an influence and via strong word of mouth the early part of their discography blew up in popularity. The first two albums are often listed as classics of the genre. However, this happened just as the members were trying to get a new project started. (See Creator Backlash)
