* ''[[Ned's Declassified]]'' has Simon [[Only Known by Their Nickname|'Cookie']] Cook, who is Ned's '''nerdy''' black best friend. Should be noted that a lot of kids' shows tend to have this geeky [[Family Matters|Urkel]] type of black friend. Other examples include Tucker from [[Danny Phantom]] or AJ from [[Fairly Oddparents]].

* Barb, from ''[[The New Adventures of Old Christine]]'' is this, and it's constantly [[Lampshade Hanging|lampshaded]] by Christine.
