- What Could Have Been: Little Cheese was originally named Big Cheese, and he was actually mouse-sized with the ability to grow.
- Also, when Roy Thomas and Scott Shaw! were creating the comic, they came with a Zoo Crew member who they never used: Whirlibird, a female bird who was based on Thomas' wife Danette.
