It didn't take long for shippers to go from there. It helps Terra has no canon love interest.
** [[Final Fantasy VII|Cloud]]/[[Final Fantasy X|Yuna]] has been popular for awhile now; a recent boom no thanks to ''[[Dead Fantasy]]''.
** On the Chaos side, there is a large following for [[Minion Shipping|pairing up]] [[Final Fantasy II (Video Game)|Emperor Mateus]] and [[Final Fantasy VIII|Ultimecia]] due to their alliance in-game. They even briefly form a [[Battle Couple]] in the intro to lure Terra into one of the Emperor's [[Death Trap|Death Traps]].
** Also, [[Final Fantasy V|Exdeath]]/[[Final Fantasy III|Cloud of Darkness]]. [[Cargo Ship|Three]] [[Broken Record|guesses]] [[Birds of a Feather|why]].
** The prequel, ''Duodecim'', gives us [[Final Fantasy II (Video Game)|Firion]]/[[Final Fantasy XIII|Lightning]] due to their mutual bonding over flowers. Comes complete with [[Ship Tease]], as ''[[Final Fantasy IV|Cecil]]'' (the only canonically married member of Team Cosmos) plays the role of Firion's [[Shipper on Deck|wingman]] and takes his embarassment over wanting to talk to Lightning as romantic interest.
