Most of the bosses are nasty, some seem downright sadistic, ''all'' are trying to kill Cuphead and Mugman (and with some, like Cala Maria, it seems likely they've killed people before), but then you remember why the duo is fighting them - these are debt-runners trying to defend themselves from having their souls taken, making the whole game one big [[Mook Horror Show]].
