Max the Wolf (a Boy Scout, not an actual wolf, which causes a filing problem of sorts) is sent to a strange world with talking animals and a mysterious group called the Blue Cutters. The Cutters have swords that can cut out pieces of a soul, changing the one cut. Max is joined by Walden the Bear Sheriff, Bqanderbrock the Badger and McTavish the Monster.
