* Vaelia gets one in one of her first appearances. Jer'kol is trying to convince Ariel that he's her father to lure her to him, but Vaelia, sensing that something is wrong, [http://www.drowtales.com/mainarchive.php?order=chapters&id=316 kicks him in the face] and then [http://www.drowtales.com/mainarchive.php?order=chapters&id=317 blocks his sword with the chains on her hands]. He manages to hit her, but this clearly established Vaelia as a [[Badass Normal]] in a universe where humans are low on the power totem pole.
