Kinoko Nasu comes close to [[HP Lovecraft]] in creating both [[Humanoid Abomination|Humanoid Abominations]] and [[Body Horror]] in his settings. The bad endings that you can get range from depressing and [[Squick|squicky]] to pure, undiluted [[Nightmare Fuel]].
