* In ''[[Teen Titans (animation)|Teen Titans]]'', Slade's obsession with Robin ''is'' rather predatory. Hot-blooded Robin, of course, swiftly becomes just as obsessed with Slade. (Of course, Slade treats all his victims that way. Just ask [[Mind Rape|Raven]]. Or [[I Have You Now, My Pretty|Terra]]. Slade is, essentially, the Amber Alert from hell.)

** Hell, pretty much all of the Apprentice episodes. One part of the episodes features Slade holding Robin's arms behind his back while saying "I monitored your vital signs during the mission. Elevated heart rate, adrenaline, endorphins. You won't admit it, but at some level...you enjoyed stealing for me. It was a thrill, wasn't it?" And later on he pretty much manhandles Robin to the ground, getting really close to his face, angry that the only thing he cares about are his "worthless, little friends!" He then goes on to say "If the Titans are so distracting, maybe I should just get rid of them." Robin admits defeat with "Don't. I'll do whatever you say." And Slade's reply? "Good boy. And from now on, I'd like you to call me master."

** And in "Haunted" we get Slade beating Robin to a pulp, telling him "Alone again Robin? As long as I'm around. You're never alone" and during the climax [[Does This Remind You of Anything?|it sounds like he's raping Robin who begs him to stop]] and pulls his face close to his own while telling him "I am the thing that keeps you up at night. The evil that haunts every dark corner of your mind."

** Given that Slade slept with Terra [[Teen Titans (Comic Book)|in the original comics]], this is almost certainly intentional.

** Also, Robin and Red X, Robin's [[Shadow Archetype]] (and [[The Real Remington Steele]]).

** Rare heterosexual ([[Samus Is a Girl|presumably]]) example: Red X flirts with Starfire at one point. Cue the squealing fangirls.

** Can't forget Raven falling in love with Malchior who lived in a book in the episode "Spellbound". However he turned out to be a [[Mailer Daemon]], who then proceeded to trick her into releasing him from the book. While Raven was heartbroken, she did get revenge during a final fight and put him back in the book using the techniques that he taught her.

*** Speaking of Cyborg, he flirted with Jinx to the point of taking her out during his time undercover.

* Mr. Krabs and Plankton on ''[[SpongeBob SquarePants]]''... really.

** SpongeBob/Squidward surely? Given the amount of [[Ho Yay]] he has towards Squidward and how Squidward never fails to remind SpongeBob how much he hates him...

* The fact that Irkens don't even reproduce sexually hasn't stopped ''[[Invader Zim]]'' fandom from pairing Zim with his archenemy Dib (the pairing dubbed ''ZADR''). Most likely attributable to this line, in which we never do find out what step five is:

** In "Vindicated" it's revealed that Dib goes through Zim's trash once a week or so. Also in "Bolognius Maximus":

** Helped by the fact that they are [[Enemy Mine|forced into reluctant alliances]] several times, like to glare at each other, have [[No Sense of Personal Space]] around each other at times, and have an odd co-dependence in "Mopiness of Doom" and are both generally hated by their peoples.

** There's also [[Ensemble Darkhorse|Tak]], who is technically a foe to both Dib and Zim. Naturally, she frequently gets paired up with both.

** Or dragon, T. Rex, tank or Osprey heliocopter. Megatron is versatile, just for you.

** One of the ways [[Batman Beyond|Terry]] really gets under the Joker's skin in ''[[Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker]]'' is by calling him on his "fixation" with Batman and making him laugh. Harley blames Batman for keeping her Pudd'n's attention away from her (after the infamous scene where he [[Ignore the Fanservice|ignored all her attempts to seduce him]], [http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kvdrl5KzSa1qzm7qno1_400.gif seen here], because he'd rather plan Batman's next <s>kinky</s> overly-elaborate [[Death Trap]]). Yet, she didn't call him on his plan to brainwash Tim Drake into being their son instead of just, ya know, having one of their own, meaning the Joker wants Batman's kid more than Harley's.

*** True, but notice the look on her face when she mentions she wanted to be 'spared the joyz of childbirth'. She didn't want to carry around the extra weight for 9 months.

** Even ''[[Batman: The Brave And The Bold|Batman the Brave And The Bold]]'' gets a dig in (episode "Game Over for Owlman!"):

** In "The Return Of The Joker" [[The Joker]] corners Batman in his batcave and throws him into a chair while getting ''really'' close to his face with a [[Slasher Smile]].

* In the non-[[DCAU]] animated movie ''[[Superman: Doomsday]]'', Lex Luthor does, for once, lay on some subtext that you don't have to be a [[Slash Fic|slasher reading things that aren't there into everything]] to find some decidedly homoerotic sadomasochism in. Having cloned Superman after his death, Lex expresses his rage and [[Antagonist in Mourning|villain grief]] at having been denied the chance to [[The Only One Allowed to Defeat You|kill Superman himself]] by routinely beating the crap out of the clone with kryptonite gauntlets in a red-sun lit room, whilst bare-chested, sweaty, and very agitated. Screeching about how Superman had no right to "leave me", he straddles the pummeled clone and asks "Who's your daddy?", and even pats him on the cheek and offers some words of encouragement to the clone before he leaves. Also, in his opening monologue, he notes that Superman is so "beautiful".

** [[Lex Luthor]] had a similar, if less extreme, reaction to Superman's death in the comics, going so far as to rant over Superman's coffin. (To say nothing of [[Superboy]] turning out to be {{spoiler|a clone of both Superman and Luthor}}.)

** More [[Lex Luthor]] in ''[[Superman: The Animated Series]]'': In episode five he's having a 'join me' moment from at least a meter closer than necessary, not to mention his sadistic smirk makes him look quite aware they're about two centimeters apart from kissing.

* Cartman and Kyle, and Cartman and Butters in ''[[South Park]]''.

** Both parodied in some of the later episodes. Cartman/Butters ''twice''.

*** Don't forget that the episode ended with Cartman actually imagining him doing it, complete with calling him a 'dirty girl'. It doesn't get any gayer than that.

*** Though to be fair, he ''said'' (in the expanded version at least) he did it to humiliate Kyle, not for any actual sexual pleasure. Of course, whether or not he can be believed, especially given his ''other'' borderline-homosexual tendencies.

** Of course, let's not forget how Cartman risked life and limb to save his best enemy Kyle from the center of the Smug Storm, just so he could continue to spar with him.

** Cartman's life is empty without Kyle to rip on, while, in ''Cartmanland'', Cartman's misery is what gives Kyle reason to live and believe in God.

** It's assumed during the events of ''Cartman Finds Love'', that Cartman/Kyle became [[Official Couple|canon in-universe]], at least as far as Cartman (who himself started the rumor of their being together)/the rest of the school is concerned. [[Have I Mentioned I Am Heterosexual Today?|Kyle himself]] is more distressed/enraged that Cartman started the rumor in the first place.

** Valerie and Danny in their secret identities also get a bit of Foe-Yay, which is especially egregrious considering they dated for a while as their normal selves.

* Ben and his [[Evil Counterpart]] Kevin in ''[[Ben 10]]''... which makes as little sense as physically possible, since after his first episode, Kevin gets trapped in the form of a hideous amalgam of various aliens.

*** Oh, and while we're on the subject of Kevin, an argument during the ''[[Ben 10: Alien Force|Ben 10 Alien Force]]'' episode "Plumbers Helpers" includes the [[Crowning Moment of Funny|immortal line]] "[[Getting Crap Past the Radar|I'm begging for it, who's going to give it to me?!]]"

*** He's not a foe in ''Alien Force'', though, so it's [[Ho Yay]] now.

*** It probably all started back in Charmcaster's very first appearance in ''Ben10'', in which she had to ''hug'' Gwen as part of her scheme. And then they [[Freaky Friday Flip|switched bodies...]]

**** Charmcaster and Gwen hug again in ''Ultimate Alien'', but this time sincerely. Then they hold hands......

* Trevor Goodchild in ''[[Aeon Flux]]'' is explicitly depicted as Aeon's lover and submissive as well as being her nemesis. He's so obsessed with her that, in one episode, he's shown with a whole harem of women who look similar to her

** They also have a tendency to have sex in the middle of battle.

** Not to mention [[Bugs Bunny]] and [[Daffy Duck]]. In [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkvCf8l2Vr0 this Kids' WB! promo], Jeff Bennett describes them as "two big stars who just LOVE each other", and the cartoon "Beanstalk Bunny" has Daffy actually kiss Bugs when he reveals his escape plan.

** This is not helped by that fact that Basil is based on the character of [[Sherlock Holmes]], and people have been [[Sherlock Holmes (film)/Ho Yay|debating the nature of]] ''[[Sherlock Holmes (film)/Ho Yay|his]]'' [[Sherlock Holmes (film)/Ho Yay|sexuality]] for over a century.

** And Ratigan's played by [[Vincent Price]] being a [[Large Ham]], to boot. It's sort of amazing.

** Not to mention that Basil has a portrait of Ratigan above his fireplace and Ratigan has a little Basil doll (just because it's voodoo doll doesn't mean the [[Foe Yay]] isn't there. He still took the time to make it in loving detail, at least.)

** And if anyone STILL has any doubts on the matter, this [http://i37.tinypic.com/2wlxdf9.jpg officially licensed merchandise] should resolve them.

* The Monarch's obsession with Dr. Venture in ''[[The Venture Brothers]]'' is dripping with one-sided [[Foe Yay]]. Anyone who doesn't see this should watch "Mid-Life Chrysalis" again.

** This was made even more blatant when the Monarch {{spoiler|was caught screwing GUARDO, a robot with Dr. Venture's face.}}

* Merlin and Madame Mim from Disney's ''[[The Sword in the Stone]]''. The way they [[Like an Old Married Couple|bicker]].

** Even before Evo, look at [[X-Men (animation)|the previous cartoon]]. There were a significant number of these moments, occasionally bordering on regular [[Ho Yay]], between [[Magneto]] and Xavier, ''especially'' in the series finale - somewhat [[Hilarious in Hindsight]] seeing as several years on, Magneto would be played in the live-action films by [[Ian McKellen]], who is both gay and quite open about it.

* ''The [[Fairly Oddparents]]'' episode "Snow Bound" had Timmy and Vicky [[Locked in a Freezer]] (well, a cave, but the effect is the same), leading to a surprisingly touching bonding moment, a near-complete mental breakdown on Vicky's part, and hugging. The [[Negative Continuity]] of the series resulted in an inevitable [[Snap Back]], but the shippers have not forgotten.

** Let's not forget how Vicky seems fond of putting Timmy in dresses. Who can forget that maid's dress from "Homewrecker"?

** The [[Alternate Character Interpretation|fan subtext]] that Vicky's meanness is a metaphor for [[Squick|pedophilia]] ''does not help''.

** How about the time Timmy's attempt to serenade Tootie, in order to get her back to loving him instead of his brother ([[It Makes Sense in Context]]), got heard by Vicky instead?

* [[Aladdin (Disney film)|Aladdin]] and Mozenrath in the animated series. [http://www.aladdincentral.org/images/displayimage.php?album=3&pos=164 as you can see here.]

** It's hard to believe this wasn't at least partially intentional. It's hard to think of a Mozenrath episode that doesn't either turn Aladdin into [[James Bondage]] or have the two of them end up wrestling on the floor at some point.

*** Then there's the time Mozenrath transformed himself into Jasmine and said "Why don't we go for a walk in the garden?" in a slightly suggestive tone. And then Genie comments that he "[[Stalker with a Crush|doesn't have anything better to do than kidnap Aladdin]]".

*** Heck, it started as early as Mozenrath's very first episode.

** Mozenrath has this with Jasmine, too. He seems to act rather fond of her, and he strokes her chin when the gang gets captured sneaking into his city. She also has a very impish smile on her lips when she tries to use her whip on him a bit earlier.

** In the first Aladdin movie Jafar tries to make Jasmine fall in love with him, [[Go-Go Enslavement|dresses her in a harem girl outfit]] and calls her "pussycat" and "my dear". Jasmine even kisses him to distract him. Also, in the sequel Return of Jafar, Jafar tells a captured Jasmine who's face he has grabbed: [[You Got Spunk|"Mmmm such spirit."]]

* Perry the Platypus and Dr. Doofenshmirtz of ''[[Phineas and Ferb]]'' practically embody this trope. At the very least they're the epitome of the [[Friendly Enemy]], treating their adversity as a job more than any actual effort to harm one another. Then there's the episode where Doofenshmirtz acquires a new nemesis which is [[Does This Remind You of Anything?|presented as]] him having an affair, culminating with them on a relationship talk show together. ** It has gotten to the point where Doofenshmirtz has even asked Perry to exercise with him.

** She even has a picture of Shego in her locker. why? You choose.

** Drakken's hurt feelings regarding Kim's father: The result of a simple college falling-out, [[Wild Mass Guessing|or a bad breakup]]?

* In one episode of ''[[Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog]]'', Dr. Robotnik ''{{spoiler|marries Sonic}}''.

** Sonic seduces Robotnik again in "Sonic is Running". He slips on a dress and says to presidential candidate Robotnik, "Oh, Robotnik. You men in power are so...powerful! Isn't there somewhere we could be alone?" Robotnik is all too willing to comply, simply because his "wife" for the election is a robot.

** There's also the business of Scratch trying to seduce Sonic's ancestor in "Robotnik's Pyramid Scheme".

** Wes Weasley's debut episode has Robotnik making his point about who he's trying to catch by pointing to a photo of Sonic, which for some reason is signed "To Robotnik. Love, Sonic."

* The lesbian subtext in ''[[Storm Hawks]]'' is hilariously obvious.

** Also, there was Aerrow's famous "But I don't want to see the Dark Ace!" line.

* Numerous [[James Bondage]] situations aside, ''[[Darkwing Duck]]'' had its brush with this when bad aim with a [[Love Potion]] led to predictable disastrous results... namely, [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nwoq4bwmic Darkwing falling in love with Negaduck] instead of Morgana:

* Possibly parodied in ''[[Futurama]]'' where, in "[[Mortal Kombat|Normal Combat]]", LizardMan and Purple Ninja kiss in the Normal Combat equivalent of a fatality.

* [[Pollyanna|Charl]][[Genki Girl|otte]] and [[Enfante Terrible|Vendetta]], from ''[[Making Fiends]]'', are a bit ''too'' into each other, aren't they?

* ''[[The Incredibles]]'': Most of Syndrome's dialogue with Mr. Incredible makes him sound like either a disgruntled ex or a [[Stalker with a Crush]].

* In one episode of ''[[Legion of Super-Heroes (TV series)|Legion of Super-Heroes]]'', Superman is fighting a villain his age, Drax, who comes from the Phantom Zone. Toward the end of the episode, as the fight draws to its close, Drax literally pins Superman to the ground and leans down, smiling, just inches away from Superman's face. It looks very... suggestive, to say the least.

* [[Fanon]] will go there occasionally in ''[[Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers]]'' in the form of a one-way admiration of [[Big Bad|the Queen]] for [[The Hero|Zach]]. [[Depending on the Writer]] if it's because he's a [[Worthy Opponent]], but often justified by the fact that she's pretty much absorbed the [[Life Energy]] of Zach's wife. Not to say it can't go [[Squick|really]] [[Stalker with a Crush|twisted]] [[I Have You Now, My Pretty|directions]].

* ''[[The Simpsons (animation)|The Simpsons]]'' has Homer and Ned Flanders, come on! It's the [[Trope Namer]] for [[Stupid Sexy Flanders]], for God's sake! Homer has also kissed and hugged Ned, flimed him naked in the shower, and Ned puts up with every [[Jerkass]] thing Homer does.

** In the comics, it's shown in the future that grown-up Maggie is married to her grown-up arch-enemy the [[Sitcom Arch Nemesis|mono-browed baby]], who always [[The Voiceless|talks over and for her]], much to her annoyance.

* ''[[As Told by Ginger]]'': Blake Gripling towards Carl Foutley. Deep down he wants to be Carl's best friend, but as Carl turns him down time after time, he tries to best the youngest Foutley whenever he can. Blake also has a dislike for Hoodsey, Carl's best friend. To a lesser extent, there's also Miranda and Ginger.

* Jimmy and Cindy from ''[[The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron]]'', though they're rivals, not enemies.

*** And Buttercup and Ace is an [[Official Couple]] in Fusion Fall.

** Aren't you forgetting the Powerpuff/Rowdyruff pairings? They're practically the most popular in the fandom!

** This could be due to 2D's naivety, who always falls in Murdoc's traps, because he still obeys him, in spite of the fact that Murdoc has kidnapped him, keeps him locked and constantly abuses him, especially in Phase 3. Even in the early years, Murdoc was beating him and treated him like a [[Butt Monkey]].

* ''[[The Mighty Ducks (animation)|The Mighty Ducks]]'' sees Dragaunus grabbing and manhandling Wildwing while cloaked, along with all the rolling and grabing that goes on during their fights, trying to convince Wildwing his friend is never coming back. Extra points for Dragaunus being voiced by [[Tim Curry]].

* ''[[Codename: Kids Next Door]]'': [[Creepy Child|The Delightful Children From Down The Lane]] and Numbuh 1. [[Mind Game Ship]], indeed.

** Numbuh 3 had some of this with King Sandy for two episodes when he [[I Have You Now, My Pretty|wanted to marry her]].

** I'm surprised that no one mentioned Numbuh Five and Stickybeard.

** And Numbuh 5 ''[[Beyond the Impossible|and]] [[Incest Subtext|her own sister]]''. She could easily tie with Numbuh 1 as KND's [[Memetic Sex God]].

** And there's Oogie's comment to Santa, which sounds pretty rape-y both out and in context.

* One episode of ''[[Donkey Kong Country (animation)|Donkey Kong Country]]'' had King K. Rool stealing a love potion and using it to turn Candy and later DK into his willing slaves. It's exactly what it sounds like.

** {{spoiler|Alejandro and Noah}}, previously just regular [[Ho Yay]].

** Alejandro and Heather. It's actually a main plot point.

* ''[[Clone High]]'' has Scudsworth totally fixated on John Stamos.

** The fact that he's voiced by Keith David certainly helps.

** What, no love for [[Ho Yay|Facilier/Naveen]]? Facilier practically ''seduced'' Naveen into making the deal!

* ''[[Osmosis Jones]]'': Anyone who is not a [[Yaoi Fangirl]] of the darkest kind should ''never'' search "thrax osmosis jones" on Google. Thrax is one of [[Draco in Leather Pants|the most swooned-over villains]] within his movie's fandom in Western Animation, even topping Disney. And poor Ozzy is... well, the foe.

** This cannot be helped by the fact that Thrax is a ''virus'' and Osmosis is an immune cell, so an attempt to tell the story with slightly better biological analogy would have had Thrax making mindslaves, or something. Or, you know, raping his way through the police department. And having thousands of offspring. [[Fridge Logic]] demands more [[Foe Yay]]!

* ''[[Challenge of the Go Bots]]'': Leader-1 and Crasher were revealed to have been romantically involved at some point in the past, although whether Crasher was actually a Renegade at the time is unclear.

* Kyle and Sigmund from ''[[Fanboy and Chum Chum]]''. To summarize, the two used to attend the same school for wizards, before Kyle was kicked out for turning one of his teachers into... er... [[Rule of Funny|raspberry flan]], and was moved to a regular school. In "Sigmund the Sorcerer", Sigmund visits the town he now lives in to give a magic show, and is invited (or, more truthfully, invites himself) to Kyle's house for dinner. Kyle is acting [[Out of Character|extremely soft and non-snarky]] throughout the entire episode, and he is evidently envious of Sigmund's more advanced skills in wizardry. Sigmund, on the other hand, refers to Kyle with pure mockery and arrogance. When Sigmund says "You know, Kyle, I must say, that I am very impressed with you", Kyle chokes on his drink slightly and asks hopefully "Really?", clearly indicating his respect for Sigmund and concern in his opinion. Blatant [[Foe Yay]] aside, [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBL3vA4ryIg#t=6m27s at one point Kyle even submissively offers to spoon-feed Sigmund] after he expresses his discontent at the cutlery being non-self-moving.

* Skipper and Julien in ''[[The Penguins of Madagascar]]'':

"Ye-NO! 'I told you so'!" }}

* This is a really odd example, especially for the age it was aimed at, but in the ''[[Care Bears]] II'' movie, Dark Heart and the human Christie seem to have feelings for each other. At least it seems like he hits on her a lot. Him being an evil...magician? demon? hateful thing with no origin? and her being a human who makes a deal with him, the foe part comes in when she helps the care bears escape and is (nearly) killed in the process and he begs the care bears to save her. And then he turns into a boy with blue eyes. And then they're all friends at the end and go swimming together.

* Among the ''[[My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic|My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic]]'' fandom, one of the more popular ships seems to be [[Badass Bookworm|Twilight]] [[Adorkable|Sparkle]] and [[The Magnificent|The Great]] [[Miles Gloriosus|and Powerful]] [[Ensemble Darkhorse|Trixie]], with fanfics involving the two ranging from romantic comedy to sappy hurt-comfort to everything in between.

** And then there's Discord, who takes particular interest in Twilight, has his hands on her a lot, beeps her on the nose and even picks her up and hugs her at one point. * Cheshire and Red Arrow from ''[[Young Justice (animation)|Young Justice]]'' have flirted; in ''[[Teen Titans Go!|Teen Titans Go]]!'' they fell in love in a Valentine's Day comic. It's a [[Mythology Gag]], because in the comics they did have a relationship and a daughter.

* Vexus and Jenny on ''[[My Life as a Teenage Robot]]''. Also, Ms. Wakeman and Vexus.

* [[Family Guy|Peter Griffin and Carter]]. Peter tries to please him, and you can interpret Carter's actions as being ''[[Tsundere]]'' in nature. While trying to get him wealthy again, they potray characters from a television series. Peter played the girl, and he tried to kiss Carter. While Carter grudgingly tries to hold him back.

** Even after I.Q. High reveals to her that Dodgers is an idiot she still finds herself strangely attracted to him.

* ''[[Spider-Man: The Animated Series]]'': Venom and Spiderman, most notably in episode 9.

** They apparently dated before the series started.
