Between tests for the 2011 season, a crash in the Ronde di Andora Rally has almost severed his right hand and given him multiple fractures his arm and leg. It is unlikely that he will be racing in 2011, but Renault are optimistic of his recovery for the following year, and he himself wants to return before the end of 2011. Alas he did not as he felt he wasn't ready to join the 2012 season and will be trying for the 2013 season.
