Funny Aneurysm Moment/Anime and Manga: Difference between revisions

** Several of the main characters' traits, such as Usopp's lying, Nami's obsession with money, and even Brook's eccentric nature are used for comic effect. However, each crew member eventually gets a flashback, many of which reveal tragic origins for these traits. For the most part, though, this doesn't stop them from being funny afterwards.

** Also, a critic commented that {{spoiler|Yuuko looked like "a sexy zombie" when she appeared on the covers of one of the DVD box set}}. This, likewise, is not as funny as it once was when one takes into consideration that she ''was'' {{spoiler|dead}} at the time.

* Japanese television-personality (and [[Bleached Underpants|ex-pornstar)]] Ai Ijima was given her own manga series, titled ''[[Time Traveller Ai]]''. One arc of the three-volume manga had Ai visiting a dystopic ''[[Waterworld]]''-type future, where [[Grandma, What Massive Hotness You Have!|she met a descendant of hers.]] Ai Ijima was found dead of pneumonia on December 24th, 2008. She had died alone, and unmarried.
