The protagonist is profoundly likable and human. Even the much-maligned sex scenes aren't really that bad, viewed from a relationship-building rather than erotic perspective, and the music that accompanies them is nothing short of lovely. Oh, and speaking of, the soundtrack overall is very simple, but perfectly atmospheric.
