Living Toys: Difference between revisions

* The Gotcha Borgs, from the cult classic Gamecube game ''[[Gotcha Force]]'', although they're technically small alien robots. They're still obviously meant to resemble toys though.

* The ''[[Touhou Project]]'' has Medicine Melancholy, who (ironically enough, considering her name) controls poison. She's one of the [[Creepy Child|creepier]] characters in the series, playfully talking about how wonderful poison is, how it paralyzes its victims, how they die a painful death...

* There's an area in ''[[Maple Story]]'' called Ludibrium that fits this trope to a T. It's a city built atop two towers that has a massive basement that includes a toy factory and a clock tower, the bottom of which might even be in another dimension. The monsters in either tower and in the factory are all toys, and within the clock tower there are two paths with different monsters.

** The [[Meaningful Name|Warped Path of Time]] takes you through [[Monster Clown|Monster Clowns]], [[Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot|Ghost Pirates (and Vikings)]], and finally a giant boss called the Gatekeeper.

** On the other side, the [[Theme Naming|Forgotten Path of Time]], there are teddy bears possessed by their own souls, animated clocks with [[More Teeth Than the Osmond Family]], teddy bears possessed by creepier ghosts, and ghosts chained to pocketwatches. And the boss of THAT side just happens to be [[Grim Reaper|Thanatos]].

** At the end of both paths is a great pavilion with an area only accessible by someone with a particular quest. This area has [[Alien Invader|Papulatus]] [[Powered Armor|Clock]], a boss that looks like a [[Fluffy the Terrible|ghostly little blue thing with a curly sprout atop its head]] sitting in [[Humongous Mecha|a flying]] [[Time Machine]] designed like a toy clock with giant robot hands. [[Bonus Boss|He's one of the strongest bosses in the game,]] and fairly sinister in his own right if you read his backstory.
