And You Thought It Would Fail: Juana Viale was a new actress, appointed to the lead role of a telenovela in the prime time. Many people thought it would be a huge disaster. And yes, there was some criticism to her acting capabilities, but the telenovela was a huge success.
Ending Fatigue: Delayed plot endings, pointless things, episodes divided into smaller ones just so there were more of them (like two half-an-hour episodes instead of a single conventional one)... just whatever it takes to keep a successful telenovela still on the air for at least some more days.
