* This happens every couple of books in the series Lone Wolf. Of course, you're still a psionic Badass. Notably: in Book 2, after you get shipwrecked; in Book 5 and Book 9, if Lone Wolf has to get out of jail; and unavoidably in Book 7, Castle Death, when thrown into The Maze.
* The whole book 4 of the Grail Quest series, Voyage of Terror, is this trope. The hero Pip is accidentally sent to ancient Greece instead of Avalon, and starts out with none of the usual equipment, nor the numerous magical items that could have been gathered during the 3 precedent books, including Excalibur Junior. Sure, you can find some new weapons, armors and magic along the way, but none of the usual fare until the next book.
* House of Hell is a departure from most Fighting Fantasy, in that the protagonist is The Everyman, and starts the story unarmed. While weapons can be found, combat is not recommended for many situations, with most of it being a stealth-based Survival Horror game.
** Blood of the Zombies has a similar beginning, but in this game, there is plenty of fighting once the protagonist gets the hang of it. (House of Hell is like Silent Hill, but this one starts off like that and then switches to Resident Evil.) In fact, this is the type of game book where the key to survival is to become an Action Hero and Guile Hero at the same time. It ain't easy.

Tabletop RPG
* Dungeons & Dragons adventures A3 and A4. At the end of A3 "Aerie of the Slave Lords", the characters are captured by the title opponents: they have no chance to avoid it. At the beginning of A4 "In the Dungeons of the Slave Lords", they wake up in the title location with no weapons, though they can improvise some from their belongings.
** The 5th Edition epic module Out of the Abyss starts with a similar situation, where the PC party are captured prisoners of drow slavers, unarmed with only the clothes on their backs (and even if they were armed, the drow are far too powerful for them to fight). Escaping is a Stealth-Based Mission where they have to covertly scrounge for gear, cooperate with other prisoners, and wait for an opportunity.
* One Pathfinder module has the party trying to retrieve an item from a shop in a section of a marketplace where weapons aren't allowed (except for the shops' guards) and magic is suppressed, and the shopkeeper doesn't want to sell it. (Judging by the Dungeon Master notes, the expected method of obtaining it is to use items in the shop as improvised weapons.)

* Bioshock:
** The original game has one section where you won't be allowed to advance unless you turn over all your weapons. You fight through the next area using only plasmids, though you can find one or two dropped guns. That said, it is possible and in fact quite easy to cheat and bring a weapon in with you, as the gate which opens when you surrender your guns doesn't close again if you pick up another one and it's possible to carry items around with the telekinesis plasmid without collecting them. Just to twist the knife, almost all of your meticulously saved ammo is "missing" when you do recover your weapons.
** Bioshock 2 is a Perspective Flip where you play the whole game as a Big Daddy, andcalled Delta, there is one mission where youDelta playis ascaptured hisby charge,the ElenorBig -Bad whoand is,has ofto course,free himself by mentally controlling a Little Sister (not Eleanor, although she is the one who initiates the plan). Fortunately, this is more like a playable cutscene than a Stealth-Based Mission, though it is interesting to see Rapture through her eyes, as in her naive mind she sees it as a beautiful, idealistic city, as it was before the whole mess that turned it into a ruin.
* Marathon has its fair share of this. It happens over five times when combining all three games. As Jason Jones once said, "ah, grasshopper, the most accessable weapon of all is your own fists, you must learn to lay aside your weapons of steel and use your flesh." He said in response to some people saying how it was impossible to do a couple levels in the first game Vidmaster-style as there were no weapon pickups in those level, and Vidmaster-style means starting with level select (and by extension, nothing but a pistol plus a couple clips for it and your fists). There is one level which could not be completed using level select unless using mods, though, as getting out of the first room required triggering a switch remotely, and the pistol can't do that.
* Turning Point: Fall of Liberty strips you of your guns and ammo at the end of each level and replaces them with 1 or 2 preset guns (often not very good).
